WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE US
What sets us apart
BRITISH SYSTEM COMPLEMENTED BY SPANISH STUDIES
We offer quality British education in a bicultural environment, complemented by subjects from the Spanish curriculum. Our curriculum offers a rich educational experience, designed to be practical and reflect the modern world and, of course, to offer our pupils the best chance of successfully passing their exams.
EDUCATION AS A JOURNEY
We believe that learning is the road to success and happiness. Our efforts focus on providing children with the skills and knowledge to help them develop into independent, confident young people. Our educational approach and school values help our pupils achieve their maximum potential: Aspiration, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Independence, Leadership, Reflection and Resilience.
WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY
We strongly believe that children learn when they feel happy, safe and valued. Our work as teachers is to inspire and ignite a passion for learning, in addition to helping children develop an inquisitive mind. Maintaining a close relationship with our pupils, families, staff and the community is essential in everything we do. We always try to listen, learn and think together.
With our custom learning approach, your child will receive a tailored education. Our teachers know that each child must feel valued, respected and supported. The specific educational needs of each child are met thanks to our adaptable strategy, with a team of additional teachers and teaching assistants who work beyond the classroom.
Pupils can enjoy a valuable range of cultural, social and creative experiences so they can discover new interests and develop their current passions.
IN MALAGA CITY CENTRE
Malaga is a vibrant city, brimming with history, culture and opportunities. Studying at The British School of Malaga is an unforgettable experience and the perfect environment for growing and achieving goals. Our goal is to turn our pupils into independent, critical individuals. We teach each pupil so that they can acquire the skills and knowledge necessary so in the future they can achieve success, develop their full potential and stand out.
In the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), equivalent to pre-school, our objective is to provide your child with a safe, stimulating and caring school environment. Children learn by playing, exploring, being active and through creative and critical thinking, both in and outside the classroom.
Primary pupils, Year 1 to Year 6, follow the British National Curriculum, complemented by compulsory subjects from the Spanish studies plan (Language and Social Science). Although we cannot be sure of the type of work children will have in the future, we must teach them to be flexible, persistent, respectful and motivated.
Secondary comprises Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. In Key Stage 3, pupils study British National Curriculum subjects in addition to Spanish Language and Humanities. In Key Stage 4, we get pupils ready for IGCSE exams and they can choose from a wide range of elective subjects.
In Sixth Form (Baccalaureate), our pupils continue acquiring knowledge and developing both academic and social skills. They are free to choose carefully targeted subjects along with their tutor and parents, depending on the degree they want to study and their future ambitious
MODEL UNITED NATIONS
Model United Nations conferences are held all over the world and attended by thousands of pupils. They are designed to help them improve their research and oratory skills, as well as to develop leadership and confidence speaking in public. Pupils must learn to think quickly, and prepare and defend arguments for and against real international topics to represent their respective countries.
ISP BUDDY EXCHANGE
This programme offers pupils aged 14 to 17 the chance to go on a one-month exchange with ISP schools. Our pupils can discover other people, cultures and countries, another great learning experience.
ISP SUMMER CAMP

They enjoy a multicultural experience in New Orleans where they learn about the history of the USA and how so many different cultures have influenced the American culture, and also how this culture influences current affairs.
